Idul Fitri at Tanah Lot - First Day |

 Yesterday is first day of Idul Fitri or moeslim people called Lebaran. Idul Fitri is special day for moeslim people that is a celebration for the Moeslim people after 30 days of fasting. Beside of that, Idul Fitri is holiday for most people and time to visit family and forgiving each other. In Idul Fitri day, most tourism object in Bali are fulfilled by visitor. Also with Tanah Lot Tourism Object which located in Tabanan regency. Note, amount of visitor yesterday reach until 11.227 visitor both domestic and foreigner. And estimated will more increase today until sunday. Because work day for most people will start on next monday. Crowded situation already started at 9 AM and top of visit at 5 PM while waiting the sunset time. If compared with Idul Fitri holiday on year 2007, amount of visitor at Tanah Lot Tourism Object increase reaching 29.58%, on year 2007, amount of visitor are 8.671 visitor. Visitor will crowded before evening until sunset happen. Most of them came with entourage accompanied with tour guide. This situation will be increase until holiday end that is on next sunday. Most activities of visitor are watching holy snakes, required holy water, walking along Tanah Lot area, take a relax at cafe and restaurant, buying balinese things in art market, and take photo with big snake and also take Tanah Lot Temple photo. And will continue during sunset time which is a favorite moment for all visitor in Tanah Lot Tourism Object. |

Special Day : Kajeng Kliwon and Tilem |

 Every fifteen days on the Balinese calendar, a three-day cycle (Pasah, Galang Tegeh, and Kajeng) and a five-day cycle (Umanis, Paing, Pon, Wage and Kliwon) end as the day called Kajeng Kliwon. The days in Balinese religion have their own influences, either good or bad. Kajeng Kliwon is the day that has these two influences at the same time. For that reason, Kajeng Kliwon has magical power and therefor is a special day in Bali. On this day extra offerings are made in the house compound, and offerings are placed at the front entrance gate on the ground, burning a coconut husk to provide smoke. Being an especially important day for both the positive and negative aspects of the world, Kajeng Kliwon is an appropriate day for the Balinese to offer more to God, with their extra offerings given in prayer. Some of the offerings made in the house compound are small woven baskets filled with glutinous rice. These are then collected to make a delicious meal in the evening called tipat. The baskets are cut open and the steamed rice is diced and mixed with vegetables and peanut sauce and served up to the family. At Tanah Lot Temple now, many villager bring some offerings to the temple, to their booth or art shop which exist in Tanah Lot area. |

From Bebali until Tanah Lot Coast |

 Yesterday, exact with sunday which is a holiday for everyone, the whole government of tabanan regency doing beach explore activity. This activity follow by Head Regency of Tabanan : N. Adi Wiryatama, Head of Tourism and Culture department of Tabanan regency: Wayan Diasa, Member of DPRD Tabanan : drh. ING Putra Astawa and other staff. Beach explore activity started at 8 AM, start at Bebali beach at Bajera Tabanan and finish at Tanah Lot Tourism Object. This activity aim to improving their environment caring and increase our togetherness and also as athletics for all staff of Tabanan governance.
Besides getting through coastal area, beach explore activity also pass away rice field area. Although weather is hot but all participant looks motivated and enthusiastic. Many equipment already prepared before such as, medical equpments, mineral water, and other by healthy team from Tabanan regency hospital. When through the rice field area, harvest season was ended so that participant do not difficulties to passing away. And will not disturbing paddy crop which grow on the rice field. |

Traffic in Tanah Lot during Holiday |

 Holiday has come. As always happens almost every year, Tanah Lot Bali will be flooded by domestic tourist from Java for a full week as a result of a week holiday from the government to celebrate Idul Fitri. So everyone will not gonna missed that great opportunity to go for holiday with the family and Tanah Lot Bali is one of the destination. Most hotels in surrounding Tanah Lot Bali are fully booked for the holiday period in late September-early October, including during the Idul Fitri celebration on October 1st and 2nd. In Tanah Lot Bali, crowded situation start seen on Sunday, September 28th, 2008. Most of visitor are non-moslem people which came to Bali to go for holiday and some are foreign tourist such as Australian, Europe, Taiwan, Japan, Chinese, and more. Tanah Lot Bali management usually prepared it self to greeting the idul fitri day. All department specially security department which assisted with pecalang, parking department, ticketing department and public relation department already complete with their program. This situation needed to keep all visitor which visit Tanah Lot Bali safety and comfort, said made Sujana as Operational Manager of Tanah Lot Bali. He said, all of his staff usually stand by and ready for greeting Idul Fitri and anticipating crowded situation in Tanah Lot Bali so that bad things will not happened. |
