 Dana Punia consist of two word that is Dana which mean gift or giving, and Punia which mean safe, good, happy, beautiful, and holy. So, Dana Punia means the holy and good giving. On “Sanghyang Kamahayanika” explained form of dana punia are :
1. Dana means estae 2. Atidana means beautiful girl 3. Mahatidana means body and soul
Person who must do dana punia are: Government , Leader of religion, Yadnya organizer, Entrepeneur, Person which can do dana punia, Person which getting high income, and All of individual. Mentioned also person or institute who must accept dana punia are : Spiritual teacher or Nabe, Sulinggih, Disabled people, Impecunious people, Person who hit by accident, Temple, Social institute, Hospital and Education institute. Good moment to do dana punia are : 1. “Uttarayana” or tenth full moon, Hinduism people must do dana punia at a time 2. At any times exactly at full moon and dead moon 3. At sun eclipse and moon eclipse 4. In “pancabaya” condition |
